BANGALORE, OCT. 13. The city traffic police have announced new traffic regulations on some roads coming under Fraser Town and Ashoknagar Police Station limits. The police officials said that with the Lingarajapuram road-over-bridge likely to be opened to traffic from October 17, new traffic regulations had become necessary in that area. This would be to decongest roads, reduce accidents, and for smooth flow of vehicles, they said. From October 17, Lazar Road, M.M. Road and a few other surrounding roads will become one-way. Lazar Road will be a one-way from its junction with Davis Road to the Anjaneya Temple junction on Buddha Vihar Road. M.M. Road will become a one-way from the Mosque Road junction up to Clarence Road junction. Similarly, the new road from the BESCOM office, close to Pottery Road, will become one-way.
Curbs for parking
No parking regulations will come into force from October 17 in some roads coming under Ashoknagar Police Station limits. Parking of vehicles will be banned on the stretch from Neelasandra Main Road to Anepalya 1st Cross up to National Garage, for 150 metres on either side of the road. On Infant Jesus Church Road, parking of vehicles will be permitted in front of the church and from the liquor shop up to Military Butchery. The northern side of Devaraj Urs Road will be made a no-parking zone from Neelasandra Main Road to KBAR junction. Parking of vehicles will be allowed on the southern side alone. The eastern side of the KBAR Road junction will become a no-parking area.
