Sainik Sammelan held

HYDERABAD,
OCT. 13.
A special Sainik Sammelan was organised at the Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME) here on Wednesday.
The CEME Commandant, Lieutenant General V.C. Jain, speaking during the sammelan, which was held on the eve of 61st EME Corps Day, said services of the EME Corps were invaluable in the changing security environment.
Modernisation of weapons had laid additional responsibilities on the shoulders of corps' soldiers and officers which, in turn, had led to emphasis laid on technical innovation, product improvement and technical training.
Awards to soldiers
Lt. Gen. Jain later presented appreciation certificates and cash awards to outstanding craftsman soldiers and civilian employees of MCEME.
Earlier, Colonel N.K. Dutta of MCEME read out the Corps Day messages of the Chief of Army Staff, Master-General of Ordnance and the Army Commander of the Southern Command.
