This Day That Age
A two-year trade agreement between India and China, the first of its kind between the two countries, was signed in New Delhi on October 14. It is on the same pattern as the pact with Russia and many other Communist countries. The goods available for export by each country are mentioned in a schedule and the procedure for conducting business is explained. China has listed for export a large variety of goods and it is explained that although China does not possess all these items for immediate export, it is confidently hoping to be in a position to do so in the near future. A contract is being entered into for the supply of rice to Tibet.
