This Day That Age
An analysis of the rainfall in the Red Hills lake area in Madras during the last 14 years shows that the average annual rainfall has been 45 inches of which the average rainfall up to the end of October each year has been 19.5 inches. This year the rainfall till the end of September was 18.82 inches and since then there has been an additional half an inch of rain. The level of the lake on October 14 stood at 37.60 feet as against 36.75 feet this day last year.
