LUCKNOW, OCT. 14. The Uttar Pradesh government today ordered a CB-CID inquiry into the recovery of missiles, rocket shells and explosives in the state recently. The CB-CID will inquire into the recovery of explosive material, missile and rocket shells in Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr, Baghpat and Aligarh districts of Uttar Pradesh, Principal Secretary (Home) Alok Sinha told newspersons here. Though no timeframe has been set for the completion of the inquiry, the investigating agency has been asked to complete it as soon as possible, he said. Meanwhile, Home department sources here said that 300 missile-looking material have been dumped at Ghaziabad and Bulandshahr but were yet to be properly checked and defused by the army and bomb disposal squad. The explosive material was being kept under security and the state has sought the help of the army and other Central agencies for defusing it. The state had also written to the Centre seeking a comprehensive policy on import of scrap material for averting mishaps like the one in Ghaziabad where the explosion in Bhushan Steel Factory claimed the lives of several labourers.
