LUCKNOW, OCT. 14 . The Special Task Force (STF) of the Uttar Pradesh police has arrested one person on charges of sending obscene e-mails to a city-based export house dealing in organic produce. This is perhaps the second case of cyber crime in the state. Giving details of the probe, SSP (STF) Anil Agarwal here said the e-mails were traced through the company that owns the server. ``The Internet account from which the e-mails were made was also traced and then the telephone line on which the Internet account was operating, shortlisted,'' he added. This led the police to the house of Sandeep Bhargava who was found to be an ex-employee of the export house. He was the quality control advisor in the company but left the job in April, 2003. SP (STF) Shahab Rasheed Khan, who investigated the case, said Bhargava was arrested. The complainant, chief executive officer (CEO) Organic India Private Limited (OIPL) RB Singh alleged that the company was receiving derogatory e-mails from two dozen different IDs and similar ones were being sent to their clientele and government organisations related to organic produce and its international trade in US and UK. The accused also allegedly used to send the obscene e-mails to his former women colleagues at OIPL. UNI
