CMIE revises growth forecast
MUMBAI,
OCT. 14.
Driven by domestic demand, the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy today revised the forecast for economic growth upwards to 6.2 per cent in 2004-05 against the earlier estimate of 6 per cent. In August, the CMIE had lowered economic growth estimate to 6 per cent from the earlier forecast of 6.3 per cent due to prospects of slowdown in farm sector.
