BANGALORE, OCT. 14. It is not advisable to use mobile telephones in places where they are prohibited, and a person who violated the ban on the gadget in the Karnataka High Court had to a pay a price. The Judge found the person, who was identified as R. Prasad from Jayanagar 3rd Block, a real estate agent, using his mobile telephone continuously in front of the court hall of Justice Gopala Gowda. He was found talking loudly and disturbing the court proceedings despite the notice put up at several places in the High Court premises that mobile phones and pagers should not be used on the court premises or in and outside the court halls. The court found that "in utter disregard to the circular displayed in the court premises, the person was causing disturbances." The mobile phone was seized and sent to the Registrar (Judicial) to initiate proceedings.
