KOZHIKODE, OCT. 14. The Kerala Federation of the Blind (KFB) Kozhikode district unit will launch a fortnight-long awareness campaign on the visually impaired here on Friday. The programme is being organised in connection with International White Cane Day. The objective is to highlight the need to bring the visually impaired to the mainstream of society. The KFB president, T. Sunil, and the secretary, P. Moideen Koya, said here today that a number of long-felt demands of the visually impaired remained only on paper. A major difficulty being faced by the visually impaired related to procuring pass in buses.
