ALAPPUZHA, OCT. 14. The State Government has entrusted P.N. Suresh, executive director, Vasthu Vidya Gurukulam, Aranmula, with the task of preparing a detailed project for the preservation of the heritage of Alappuzha. A project for the preservation of the heritage of Alappuzha was one of the main suggestions that came up in the Alappuzha development seminar organised by the Alappuzha Press Club and the Tourism Department recently. Mr. Suresh said the project would be prepared after studying the old buildings in the town, the migrant communities here, heritage sites, port and cultural leaders. A team of experts from the Gurukulam would visit Alappuzha in November, Mr. Suresh said. The project would be submitted to the State Government in three months, he said.
