BANGALORE, OCT. 14. Devendra Joshi (BPCL) and Pankaj Advani (ONGC) will vie for the title in the inaugural PSPB all-India inter-unit billiards championship. At the KSBA hall here on Thursday, Joshi ended the aspirations of Sourav Kothri at 1274-558 with a string of big century breaks in his 23rd, 24th and 25th visits, while Pankaj Advani scored a 1172-836 win over national champion Alok Kumar. Pankaj compiled a 323 break in his 16th visit to take a sizeable lead in the three hour semifinal and then came up with another impressive 141 in his 30th to put the match beyond Alok, who had alone 198 to show in his ninth visit. T.C. Dass of Oil India prevailed over team-mate N.J. Bhuyan 196-150 to capture the veterans' billiards title. ONGC bagged title in the snooker team final, defeating BPCL (1). Oil India downed BPCL (2) 4-2 to clinch the third spot.
