BANGALORE, OCT. 14. A Congress worker, Ravi (32), was hacked to death, allegedly by a gang of four persons near a pharmacy in the Wilson Garden Police Station limits on Thursday. The victim was reportedly a rowdy-sheeted person in the Adugodi Police Station. He was standing near the pharmacy at about 7.30 p.m., when the four accused came in a motorcycle and hacked him with choppers, the police said. Ravi was rushed to a private nursing home where he died, the police added. According to the police, the victim, a resident of Adugodi, had assaulted a BJP worker, Chandrappa, in the morning. It is suspected that the murder could be related to this. The Wilson Garden Police have registered a case. Senior police officials visited the spot. Ravi's body was shifted to a government hospital for post-mortem.
