PONDICHERRY, OCT. 15. Lt Governor M.M. Lakhera has said the Administration would raise the strength of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) in the Union Territory of Pondicherry by roping in more colleges and schools. Mr. Lakhera, who visited the Group Headquarters of the NCC at Lawspet near here, was informed of the progress made by the organisation over the years. The group headquarters covers the Union Territory, Cuddalore, Chidambaram blocks in neighbouring Tamil Nadu and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The strength of the cadets would also be raised by addition of five hundred more cadets.
