PONDICHERRY, OCT. 15. M. Ramadass, MP, has been appointed to the Consultative Committee of the Union Finance Ministry established by the Central Government. A release from Mr. Ramadass, who is also Parliamentary Party Leader of the Patali Makkal Katchi said today the panel had been set up with Union Finance Minister P. Chidambaram as chairman. It includes Union Minister of State for Finance S.S. Palanimanickam, and MPs of th Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. The committee also has as ex-officio members Suresh Pachouri, Union Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, B.K. Handique, Union Minister of State for Defence, and Ms Suryankanta Patil, Union Minister of State for Rural Development.
