New Assam Chief Secretary

GUWAHATI, OCT. 15. The Assam Government today appointed the Additional Chief Secretary, S. Kabilan, as the next Chief Secretary. Mr Kabilan will take over on October 31 from J.P. Rajkhowa, who attains superannuation that day.

A 1972 batch IAS officer of the Assam-Meghalaya cadre, Mr. Kabilan hails from Tamil Nadu. He has served 15 years in Assam and three years in Meghalaya in various capacities.
