NEW DELHI, OCT. 15. The Supreme Court today stayed an order of the B.S. Mehra Commission, appointed by the Punjab Chief Minister, Amarinder Singh to inquire into hawala charges against his son, Raninder Singh, directing the Hindustan Times not to publish any more reports on the subject.

The interim stay was granted by a Bench, comprising Justice N. Santosh Hedge and Justice S. B. Sinha, during mentioning of a writ petition filed by the newspaper questioning the authority of the Commission to give such a directive.
