Netaji probe judge ready to place report
KOLKATA,
OCT. 15.
The one-man Justice Mukherjee Commission of Inquiry, probing the mysterious disappearance of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, today said that it was ready to place its report if the Centre did not cooperate with the panel.
Mr. Mukherjee told reporters after a hearing of the Commission that the Home Ministry was "not cooperating" with him regarding his proposed visit to Singapore, Taipei, Saigon and Bangkok next month for further investigations, while the External Affairs Ministry had cleared it.
The Home Ministry's communication on October 12 had made certain "highly objectionable queries" and this was "delaying" the inquiry, Mr. Mukherjee added.
