CUDDAPAH, OCT. 15. A Central team will tour Cuddapah district on October 18 to assess the drought conditions. The team will tour Chinnamandem, Sambepalle, Rayachoti, Galiveedu and Lakkireddipalle mandals and hold a meeting with district officials at Cuddapah in the evening, according to an official statement. The Central team will enter the district at Devalampet in Chinnamandem mandal on October 18 and interact with people's representatives at 10 a.m. They will inspect Kangalacheruvu and Rankalakunta tanks at Devagudipalle, inspect mango orchard, paddy fields and a farm pond at Roaddumeedi Kurvapalle, fallow lands at Mallurumitta and groundnut fields at Thurupupalle village in Chinnamandem mandal. They will later inspect Diguvacheruvu in Kondavandlapalle in Sambepalle mandal from 11.40 a.m., groundnut fields at Narayanareddigaripalle, inspect a fodder plot and interact with drought pensioners at P.N. Colony Harijanawada, a hamlet of Motakatla village and Sambepalle tank and groundnut crop at Sambepalle at 12.30 p.m.

The team will watch a photo exhibition at 1.10 p.m. and address officials at the Rayachoti MRO office, followed by lunch there. They will inspect desilting of Murapukunta tank and examine fields at Peddakalvapalle, inspect Kothacheruvu at Yandapalle and inspect hand bores and mango orchards at Vaddepalle at 2.45 p.m. They will also inspect an open well and fields in Machavandlapalle in Galiveedu mandal, Peddacheruvu MI tank and ayacut lands at Galiveedu, groundnut crop at Edigapalle, rain water supply channel to Pulikunta tank under Food Assurance Scheme and interact with workers at Madigapalle, inspect drinking water transportation and interact with drought pensioners at Bandameedapalle village at 4.15 p.m. They will later inspect groundnut crop at Reddivaripalle, a tank at D. Ramapuram, road formation work with SGRY grant and interact with beneficiaries at Gallavandlapalle at 4.50 p.m. The team will reach Cuddapah R & B guest house at 6 p.m., where they will interact with district officials at 6.15 p.m. The team will leave for Hyderabad by Venkatadri Express at 8.10 p.m., the official statement said.
