Heavy rain in Usilampatti

CHENNAI, OCT. 15. Southwest monsoon has been active over South interior Karnataka and Kerala. Rainfall occurred at most places over South interior Karnataka and Kerala at a few places over Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema. Isolated rainfall occurred over Telangana and mainly dry weather prevailed over North interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep. The following stations recorded heavy rainfall in cms: Usilampatti (Madurai dt.), 10, Hosur (Krishnagiri dt.), Karur Paramathy and Vadakara (Kozhikode dt.) 9 each, Denkanikottai (Krishnagiri dt.) 8 and Bangalore Airport 7.

FORECAST (valid until Sunday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Kerala, Coastal and South interior Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema. Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Telangana, North interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

FARMERS WEATHER BULLETIN FOR TAMIL NADU AND PONDICHERRY (Valid until Sunday morning): Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at a few places over all the districts of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.
