CHENNAI, OCT. 15. As many as nine trade unions have appealed to employees and workers belonging to the State public sector and the cooperative sector to stage demonstrations tomorrow protesting against the Government's ``unilateral'' announcement on disbursal of bonus and ex-gratia. Leaders of the All-India Trade Union Congress, the Indian Trade Union Congress, the Centre of Indian Trade Unions, the Hind Mazdoor Sabha, the Labour Progressive Federation and the Marumalarchi Labour Federation, in a joint statement here, said the quantum of bonus and ex-gratia announced for the transport, electricity and civil supplies employees and workers was inadequate. The Government should have declared 20 per cent bonus for the employees and 10 per cent for those working in other units, they said.
