HYDERABAD, OCT. 15. A former trader and in-charge building inspector of Bodhan Municipality in Nizamabad district, V. Rajasekhar, has been sentenced to one year rigorous imprisonment as he was found guilty in a corruption case. A fine of Rs. 1,000 has been imposed on him. Anti-Corruption Bureau officials trapped Mr. Rajasekhar after he allegedly accepted Rs. 1,000 from a complainant on April 6, 1993, to permit the construction of a building while working in Bodhan, according to a press release. A former typist from Bodhan Municipality, B. Pratap Singh, was sentenced to two years rigorous imprisonment and pay Rs. 2,000 after corruption charges against him were proved. ACB officials trapped Singh on April 6, 1993, after he allegedly accepted Rs. 500 from a complainant for issuing a mutation certificate.
