Khammam
By Our Staff Reporter
KHAMMAM, OCT. 15. The former Minister, Tummala Nageswar Rao, took over as Telugu Desam Party district chief on Friday. Addressing party workers on the occasion, he said he would make all-out efforts to revive the glory of the party in the district. Assuring workers of all support, he wanted them to devote themselves to reconsolidation of the organisation. He said that the development witnessed in the district owed itself mainly to TDP rule.
Big gap
Later addressing a news conference, the former Minister said that there was no law and order though the State remained incident-free. There was yawning gap between words and deeds of the new Government. The people had already understood that the Congress Government was without any direction, he said. The former Minister said that there was no dissatisfaction among party leaders. The new committee was constituted as desired by the party leadership and partymen. He had a dig at the media for "trying to play up trivial issues related to the party". The former Minister came to the party office in a convoy of large number of vehicles.
