Celebrating Delhi-Hanoi ties
By P. S. Suryanarayana
HANOI,
OCT. 15.
India and Vietnam are poised to look to the future on their bilateral front in the historic context of the first-ever meeting between Jawaharlal Nehru and Ho Chi Minh. The stroll down memory lane, for visualising new vistas of cooperation, will mark the 50th anniversary celebrations of the first political interaction between Nehru and Ho Chi Minh.
India's External Affairs Minister, K. Natwar Singh, will attend the celebration in Hanoi, where the now-legendary meeting took place, on October 17. The 12th meeting of the India-Vietnam Joint Commission will take place on the following day, according to diplomatic sources here.
