Rain likely

CHENNAI, OCT. 15. The sky will be partly cloudy on Saturday with a possibility of light showers in some areas. The maximum temperature will be around 34-35 degrees Celsius and the minimum will be around 25 degrees.

On Friday, Nungambakkam registered a maximum of 35 degrees and a minimum of 25.4 degree Celsius. Meenambakkam recorded a maximum of 34.3 degrees and a minimum of 25.3 degrees. The humidity was 79 per cent and 80 per cent respectively.

Power shutdown

Power supply will be suspended between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. in parts of Muthialpet, Sowcarpet, Virugambakkam, Flower Bazaar and Mannady on Sunday due to maintenance work.

Special programme

The Southern India Chartered Accountants Students' Association is organising a special programme for those preparing for examinations conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, commencing from November 1. The special programme will be held tomorrow (Saturday) from 10.30 a.m. onwards on the ICAI's premises on Nungambakkam High Road.

Tree plantation

A tree plantation campaign will be held on Saturday in the A.M. Jain College in Meenambakkam, where a Combined Annual Training Camp of the National Cadet Corps is currently on. More than 800 cadets from all over the State are taking part in the camp.
