Rent collection drive

KANCHEEPURAM, OCT. 15. The civic body today launched a 15-day tax/lease rent collection drive from property owners and lessees.

Speaking to reporters here today, the Municipal Commissioner, R. Ramachandran, said the civic body was yet to recover Rs. 30 lakhs as arrears from property tax account, Rs.10 lakhs under water tax and drainage charges account and Rs.10 lakhs to 15 lakhs as arrears under lease rent account.
