CHENNAI, OCT. 15. A.M. Rathnam, the film producer has been summoned to appear in a magistrate's court here on November 3 in connection with a bounced cheque. The VII Metropolitan Magistrate at George Town issued the summons on a criminal complaint against Mr. Rathhnam by S. Ravi Srinivasan of the Mindscreen Private Limited. According to the complainant, two cheques issued by Mr. Rathnam for Rs. 2.25 lakhs were returned in August for `insufficient funds.' Mr. Srinivasan said the cheques were issued by the producer, whose films include `Indian,' `Boys,' and `Gilli,' towards charges for supplying equipment and manpower during the production of `Boys.'
