THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, OCT. 15. The Air India (AI 943) flight took off for Abu Dhabi from the International Airport here at 11. 25 p.m. on Thursday. It was forced to make a landing under "full emergency measures" at around 12.10 a.m. on Friday after the cockpit crew reported a "technical snag" on one of the wings. The rear tyre burst while the aircraft was making a touchdown, Air India officials at the airport told The Hindu . The flight arrived here from Kozhikode at 10.25 p.m. The snag was in the "flap" of one of the wings.
