HYDERABAD, OCT. 15. Counting of votes for the Asifnagar by-election will be taken up at the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad (MCH) stadium at Amberpet on Saturday at 8 a.m. In a press release issued here, the MCH Commissioner and District Election Officer, Chitra Ramachandran, said that the counting process as expected to be completed in three hours. The Returning Officer, E. Sridhar, informed that 14 tables had been arranged for 14 rounds of counting and each round was expected to take some 10 to 15 minutes. Nearly 200 officers and staff had been drafted for counting, he said. The city-based, VoiceGate Technologies India, in association with the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, would provide results of Assembly elections in Maharashtra and the by-elections in the State on Saturday. The 60-second pulse rate-based service would also enable callers to get constituency-wise information. Callers from the twin cities can call on 1255224 and those from elsewhere in the State should dial 95/ 0401255224, according to a release.
Prohibitory orders
The police have imposed prohibitory orders in connection with the counting of votes of Asifnagar by-election.
