Cloudy sky

forecast

Generally cloudy sky with a maximum temperature of 32 degree Celsius and a minimum of 19 degree Celsius is the forecast for Saturday.

The city on Friday recorded a maximum temperature of 31.5 degree Celsius and a minimum of 19.8 degrees Celsius with a relative humidity of 62 per cent.

Wins prize in map quiz

The Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet, has won the second prize in the Indian National Cartography Association Map Quiz competitions.

According to a press release, Aproov Jaywanth, K.S. Rohit and G.Y. Aditya of the school won the second prize in the contest and were awarded the prizes at the XXIV INCA International Congress held in Kolkata.

Appointed

Ronald Nagar has been appointed Director (training) for Indian Airlines' Central Training Establishment (CTE), the premier training establishment in Hyderabad.

Prior to this appointment, Captain Nagar was the General Manager, operations, at IAL's northern region. He joined IA in 1974 as a trainee pilot and has 19,000 hours of flying experience, according to a press release.

Book expo

The Praja Shakti book house is organising an exhibition of competitive books at its office in Chikkadpalli from October 16. K. Nageswar of Osmania University journalism faculty will open the exhibition.
