Congress charge against Fernandes' supporters
By Our Special Correspondent
NEW DELHI,
OCT.16.
The Congress today directed its criticism against the Janata Dal (United) president, George Fernandes charging that his supporters removed the photograph of the Congress president, Sonia Gandhi, from a hall in the Constitution Club here.
The party said it was least concerned about the photograph or its removal, since the image of Ms. Gandhi was "etched in the hearts of the people of India."
Unlike George Fernandes, Sonia Gandhi's popularity and support does not stand on quicksand,'' the party spokesperson, Abhishek Singh, said.
