BEIJING, OCT 16. Rashmi scored 25 points to lead India past Macau 97-37 in the Asian under-18 women's basketball championship being held at Shenzhen today. Rashmi got India off to the start they wanted, firing in eight points to steer her team to a 16-point lead and stretch it to 24 points at half time. Macau shot only 14-for-48 overall from the field, while India was 39-for-73. Aashna scored 13 points and Bharti added 11 points for India. Kun Sok Man was the top scorer of Macau with 15 points, and Cheong In Ian had eight points in 40 minutes. On Friday, India lost to Singapore 69-56 in their first outing. Singapore, who crushed Malaysia 89-46 earlier today, now leads Group B with two victories, followed by the Philippines and India. PTI
