Saurabh, Thulasi win titles
CHANDIGARH,
OCT. 16.
Saurabh Varma of Madhya Pradesh and P.C. Thulasi of Kerala won the boys' and girls' event of the under-13 section in the 18th Mini National badminton championship here on Saturday.
Gayatri Vartak of Maharashtra prevailed over second seed Ruth Misha 11-9, 11-5 to lift the mini girls under-16 singles title.
The results (singles, all finals):
Boys: Under-16: Anurag Sharma (U.P.) bt Samruddha Rathod (Mah) 6-15, 15-13, 15-4. Under-13: Saurabh Varma (MP) bt Raj Kumar (Pun) 15-13, 15-9.
Girls: Under-16: Gayatri Vartak (Mah) bt Ruth Misha (Kar) 11-9, 11-5. Under-13: P.C. Thulasi (Ker) bt Ankita Ashok (Karnataka) 11-6, 11-0.
