Cloudy sky

The sky will be partly cloudy on Sunday with the maximum and minimum temperatures likely to be around 31 degree Celsius and 17 degree Celsius. The recorded temperatures on Saturday were 30.9 degree Celsius and 16 degree Celsius respectively while the relative humidity stood at 39 per cent.

Eye patients

As part of World Sight Day celebrations, Intra Ocular Implantation Surgery was performed on 407 patients of cataract and another 60 patients needing subspecialty care were attended to at the Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital during the week, according to a press release issued here.

CME held

As part of the Emergency Nurses Week, the Department of Nephrology, Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences organised a first CME of Emergency Nephrology nursing care on Saturday. The NIMS Director, D.Prasada Rao, Medical Superintendent, K.V.Subba Rao, and Nephrology Department Head, Dakshina Murthy, and others participated, according to a press release.

Book show

The competitive book exhibition at Prajashakti Book House at Chikkadpally was inaugurated by Osmania University Journalism professor K. Nageshwar on Saturday.

Various books including those pertaining to Civils, Group I, Politics, Arts, Literature and competitive books will be on sale.

Advani coming

The former Deputy Prime Minister, L. K. Advani will inaugurate the new State BJP office premises on Gandhi Bhavan - Moazzam Jahi Market Road, on October 24.

The State BJP leader, K. Laxman told presspersons that on the same day, the party's executive meeting would also be held.

Timings of

hotels

Hotels, restaurants, tea-stalls and food joints possessing police licence will be allowed to remain open throughout the night during the Ramzan month from October 16 to November 15. The Hyderabad Police Commissioner, R.P. Singh, said that however, hotels and restaurants attached to bars should close down their business as per the timings stipulated in their licenses.
