BELGAUM, OCT. 17. The byelection to Ward No 27 of the Belgaum City Corporation passed off peacefully here on Sunday. Of the 4,011 voters, 2,651 cast their votes accounting for 66 per cent polling. The byelection was necessitated because of the death of the corporator, Dilip Jadav, in February this year. Vijay More, Vishnu Bhatkhande, Mahadev Tikkekar (all independents) and Sanjay Bhonsale (BJP) are in the fray.
