United they stand...

By Our Staff Reporter

The heads of various political parties put up a united front before the central team today. The MLAs, G.Muddukrishnama Naidu (Puttur) and K.Prabhakara Reddy (Thamballapalle) of Congress, N.Amarnatha Reddy (Punganur), D.Ramesh (Madanapalle) and Lalithakumari (Palamaner) of TDP and Rajyasabha member, N. P. Durga Ramakrishna were among those who represented to the team. A minor altercation too resulted when the team coordinator, V. Venkatesan, declined to accept a representation from Mr. Muddukrishnama Naidu, asking him to hand it over to the Collector. An annoyed Mr. Naidu rejected the `advice', asserting that political leaders deserved a say in drought related issues, forcing the team to accept the representation, but also give a patient hearing.
