Dancers, bar owner held

The Task Force (Central and West) teams raided Caesars Bar in Abids and Hunt Pub at Somajiguda and arrested 31 female dancers on the charge of performing obscene dances.

The Owner of Caesars Bar, A. Ravinder Reddy, was arrested, a press release said on Sunday.

Bus passenger robbed

Thieves had stolen Rs. 8,000 cash from the handbag of a housewife, M. Kamalamma (66) while she was travelling in an APSRTC bus (route no. 31) on Saturday.

A resident of Kompally, the victim boarded the bus at Secunderabad railway station and was going to her house.

A few minutes after boarding the bus, the victim found her bag open and the cash stolen, the Market police said.

Case against teleservices firm

A criminal case has been booked against Tata Teleservices on the charge of cutting a stretch of 500 metres on the MES Pump House-CTO Junction road without permission from the authorities concerned.
