LUCKNOW, OCT. 18 . The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Mulayam Singh Yadav, today announced a bonus and two per cent Dearness Allowance for the State government employees on the occasion of Deepawali, an expenditure for which government will have to cough up an additional Rs. 550 crore. The Chief Minister while making the announcement at a meeting with representatives of State employees association, said that the bonus to State employees would be at par with last year. The government will have to bear an additional expenditure of Rs. 550 crores for disbursing bonus and DA, he added. Assuring the employees that his government would sympathetically consider their demands, for which they had earlier in the day held a rally in the State Capital, Mr. Yadav said.
