Convincing win for St. John's

HYDERABAD, OCT. 18. St. John's Cricket Coaching Foundation (Hyderabad) scored a convincing, 109-run win over Don Bosco High School in the under-13 category of the inaugural Don Bosco invitational cricket tournament here on Monday.

Batting first, St. John's scored 181 for seven with B. Sandeep (58) being the top-scorer. Leg-spinner V. Vinay Uttam (four for 37) and Mahesh (two for 38) bowled well to restrict them to a modest score. However, in reply, Don Bosco folded up for 72 with Faraz (38) being the top-scorer with Sashank (four for 23) being the top wicket-taker.

The scores: Under-13: Jain International Residential School, Bangalore, 112 lost to HPS Begumpet, 113 for six.

St. John's CCF, Hyd, 181 for seven (B. Sandeep 58, V.Vinay Uttam four for 37) bt Don Bosco HS 72 (Sashank four for 23).

Gouthami Model School, Hyd, 108 bt Pepsi-Imtiaz XI, Bangalore, 94.

Under-15: KV, Uppal, 112 (Siddarth four for three) lost to Pepsi-Imtiaz XI 113 for five.

Don Bosco CA 165 for five (Nawazuddin 45 no tout) bt St. Andrews HS 141.

HPS, Begumpet, 185 (Kanish 84 not out, Ram Babu 51) bt Don Bosco Navjeevan 108 for eight.
