Swantons CC tames KRL
KOCHI,

K.J. Rakesh's 93 (92b, 3x6, 6x4) went in vain as Kochi Refineries Limited (Ambalamugal) lost to Swantons CC (Ernakulam) by 30 runs in the first phase semifinals of the 54th Pooja all-India cricket tournament at the Tripunithura Palace Oval on Monday.
For Swantons, Krishna Das (75, 80b, 3x6, 5x4) and Ranji stars Ajay Kudua (52 not out, 28b, 5x4, 2x6) and C.M. Deepak (50, 1x6, 2x4) came good.
The scores: Swantons CC 260 for four in 45 overs (Krishna Das 75, Ajay Kudua 52 not out, C.M. Deepak 50) bt KRL 230 in 41.3 overs (K.J. Rakesh 93, Prasanth Chandran 51).
