New Star channel for the `upwardly mobile'

MUMBAI, OCT. 19. Star India today announced the launch of its new entertainment channel Star One from November 1, targeted at the ``urban, upwardly mobile'' Indian audiences.

Addressing a press conference here, the company's Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Peter Mukherjea, said the channel would be launched with an array of 21 original programmes across a range of entertainment genres — action/thriller, comedy, drama and movies made for television.
