Diversion of funds alleged

KANNUR,
OCT. 19.
The Rashtriya Mahasabha has alleged diversion of funds allocated under the Tribal Sub Plan (TSP) with the connivance of officials and politicians in the district. The Mahasabha leaders Sreeraman Koyyon and Prasannan Pallipram said at a press conference here today that some panchayat presidents and officials were using the Planning Board guideline that views of local bodies be sought while allocating the funds under TSP as a pretext to divert the funds for projects that would mostly benefit non-tribals.
