Shapheek nets six
NEW DELHI,
OCT. 19.
Six goals by Mohammed Shapheek helped Swami Vivekanand High School, Patna, beat Government HIgher Secondary School, Kankroli, 11-1 in a group `V' match of the 33rd Oriental Bank Nehru junior hockey tournament at the Shivaji Stadium here on Tuesday.
Prabhakar Nigam (3), Pawan Kumar and Amrendra Kumar scored the other goals for the Bihar team. Vishal Paliwal scored the only goal for the Rajasthan team.
In group `IV', Guru Harkrishan Public School, Loni Road, defeated Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Jashpur Nagar, 7-1. Ravneet Singh (3), Mudit Garg (2), Suresh Pathania and Navtej Singh found the target for the Delhi team. Rohit Xaxa scored for the Chattisgarh team.
Other results: Group III: Government K.M. Senior Seocndary School (Aizawl) bt Sainik School (Bijapur) 1-0.
Group VI: Raja Dumbra Singh High School (Imphal) bt G.V. Raja Sports School (Thiruvananthapuram) 8-4.
