VIJAYAWADA, OCT. 19. Responding to the call given by leaders of the All-India State Bank Officers' Federation and the All-India State Bank Staff Federation, members of local units of the federations on Tuesday staged a dharna in front of their zonal office seeking immediate solution to their problems. The leaders accused the management of resorting to delaying tactics which had a direct effect on lakhs of employees across the nation. Led by the chief regional secretary of the SBI Officers' Association, T.K.V. Rangacharyulu, and the deputy general secretary of the SBI Staff Union, Hyderabad circle, K.S. Ramachandra Rao, the members staged a demonstration which lasted almost seven hours at a stretch. The leaders also found fault with the ceiling clamped on pensions and the high interest rate being charged from employees on various loans.
