HYDERABAD, OCT.19. The Communist Party of India(Marxist) State committee has written to the Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, urging the Government to give up its proposal to close the Government Textbook Printing Press which employs 1,240 persons. B.V. Raghavulu, secretary of the party, in the letter, which was released to the press on Tuesday, suggested to the Government to purchase new machinery for the press and allocate the required budget. These steps would enable the press to print all Government books and reduce the administration's financial burden by getting the work done outside.
