On Wednesday, Nungambakkam recorded a maximum temperature of 31.5 degree Celsius and a minimum of 22.9. It recorded only a trace of rainfall. Meenambakkam recorded a maximum of 30.9 degree Celsius and a minimum of 23.4. It received a rainfall of 0.1 mm in the 12 hours ending 8.30 p.m. on Wednesday. Humidity recorded at 8.30 p.m. today was 87 and 86 per cent.
Eye screening
Over 500 students were screened for ailments by a team of doctors. Ten were referred for cataract surgery at the Hospital. Free medicines and spectacles were given to more than 60 patients.
