THE ENVIRON- MENTAL activist and retired chief conservator of forests, A.N. Yellappa Reddy, inaugurated "Paryavaran Mandal", an environmental club of the Garden City College recently. Mr. Reddy emphasised the need to have clean air, clean water and clean earth. The ambitions of man and his extravagant lifestyle had caused depletion of the resources of the earth and pollution of the environment. "We need to do everything possible to avoid this," he said.
