Sansel nets winner for ARC
NEW DELHI,
OCT. 25.
Striker Sansel Koireng scored the lone goal of the match, as Assam Regimental Centre (Shillong) beat Indian Air Force XI 1-0 in the first round (qualifying) for the Durand Cup football tournament at the Air Force Station ground here on Saturday.
Koireng's scored the all-important goal in the 19th minute. The Shillong team will meet Border Security Force (BSF, Jalandhar) in the second round. BSF made it to the second round through walkover as its first round opponent, Indian National (Delhi) failed to report.
