dated October 26, 1954: Air service to China

India and China have reached an air agreement as a result of Prime Minister Nehru's talks in Peking. The agreement is on a reciprocal basis. Under it, China is expected to run an air service to India while the present Air India International service, which now terminates at Hong Kong, will be extended to Canton. Details have to be worked out and it will take some time for the services to begin.
