Swamy backs RSS call
By Our Special Correspondent
CHENNAI,
OCT. 25.
The Janata Party president, Subramanian Swamy, today welcomed the call of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief, K.S. Sudarshan, to "root out" Communists from the Indian polity.
In a statement, he said: "Communism is a failed ideology that has bankrupted many nations. The erstwhile Soviet Union and countries of Eastern Europe bear testimony to that fact."
While Communists advocated workers' trade union rights, they denied the rights of collective bargaining in Communist-ruled countries, he said.
The RSS chief should take the initiative to launch a nationwide "Dharma Yudh" against Marxist ideology. The Janata Party would be happy to extend support to this "great national cause," he added.
