CHANDIGARH, OCT.25. A Vigilance Awareness Week will be observed in Haryana from November 1 to 6 to create an awakening among the people to fight the evil of corruption. An official spokesman of the Haryana State Vigilance Bureau said here today that a systematic campaign would be launched against corruption by involving all sections of society during the week. The people would be educated about the dangers of corruption and sensitised about its evil consequences. Also, a pledge would be taken by all public servants, irrespective of their status in all the Government offices, Public Sector Undertakings, banks, autonomous bodies and institutions. Banners and posters would be displayed at prime locations to educate the people about corruption. Seminars, lectures and debates would also be organised in schools and colleges on the methods to check corruption. Suggestions would be sought from the people to eliminate corruption and improve procedures by bringing greater transparency and speed in the disposal of work.
